The largest organism found on Earth can be measured using a variety of methods. It could be defined as the largest by volume, mass, height, or length. Some organisms group together to form a superorganism, though this cannot truly be classed as one large organism. (The Great Barrier Reef, the world's largest coral reef (stretching 2,000 km) is a collection of many organisms).

The Great Barrier Reef, considered by some measures to be the world's largest living thing.

Your mom. Hoooo!

No just kidding. The largest organism alive today is most likely the Blue Whale, or a really huge tree. I don't know the mass of the worlds biggest tree so I couldn't tell you.

However ground dwelling worms (not even the cute cuddly kind) outnumber most every other species of animal. So I guess it's more the question, size wise, number wise or your parent's house wise?

Just kidding, don't take it personally.

Corals are Cnidaria. And thus: Animals.

BUT the coral reef is made up with millions of single corals so I guess I have to say: Blue Whale.
