I assume by 'service provider' you mean manufacturer. The US air force is the only actual 'service provider', and does so for free!
Which brand is best depends on a lot of things. It depends where you are - as to which maps are available. Smaller countries are more likely to only be supported by the bigger manufacturers.
It also depends which extras you want - such as extra voices, bluetooth, mp3 playing, etc.
Garmin, Navman, Tomtom are all good brands, and have maps for most countries.
One thing to ask about is map updates. There is nothing more frustrating than keep getting incorrect instructions because the map is incorrect - yet the company wants half the cost of the GPS again to update the maps.

Tops 3 GPS navigation gadget in the international Garmin Tomtom Magellan different manufacturers in basic terms can not beat it. I used to have a Tomtom GPS offered it to my pal, many times no count what GPS your getting are actually not precise, no shaggy dog tale. in ordinary terms component i'd use is a city map and a handbook excursion in case you will discover one i'm confident ninety 9 p.c. of the time any of those will greater batter then the GPS.

i would give ***** for VDO dayton. the computer system in it is very advance.
it also rely on the speedometer pulse data and also the Gyro unit that is embedded in the system as well as the satellite data
also the CPU calculate data from 7 or 8 satellites simultaneously while many other specially the one you plunge to the windscreen they usually use 3 satellite data for allocation.
VDO dayton is advance in terms of receiving traffic conditions data from FM station if the stations provide that service like what they doing now in australia and were doing it years ago in Germany.
