Ontario is comprising two time zones; Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) - 5 (Eastern Time of USA and Canada) and GMT -6 (Central Time of USA and Canada). Most areas are in GMT -5 zone apart from cities in the west of Ontario like Kenora and eastern Thunder Bay. So, all major cities (Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, Kitchener, London, Sudbury, Windsor) fall in GMT -5; but in Summer, daylight saving time makes it GMT -4.

Ontario appears to be in the eastern time zone as well as the central time zone, so it would hinge on where in Ontario you reside.

custom time zone which changes to maximize the Efficiency in electric. People should be given Atomic clocks in every state and the clocks should adjust periodically to save Electric. When the sun rises it becomes 9 o clock and we get to work day time and go home and sleep earlier and use less Electric! oh wait would the greedy politicians pass a bill on this? ummm why wouldn't they? they work for us don't they? BS they could care less about our time zone or our Energy savings or our future! Every bill they pass has a main and a latent function for their loopholes! therefore I would want to live in my custom Time zone where I could save energry therefore our race would be more productive and everbody would prosper and not work for nothing!
